BODY OF T. S.
Funeral will be held this afternoon at St Matthew's Cathedral.
Comes in Special car.
The body of T. S. McDowell, former general superintendent of the Katy Lines in Texas, reached Dallas last night. The funeral party came through from St. Louis in a special car. Accompanying Mrs. McDowell were her brother-in-law, William McDowell; nephew E. S. McDowell; brother George Criley, and Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Allen. Mr. Allen is general freight agent of the Missouri, Kansas and Texas at St. Louis. He formerly held a similar position with the company in Dallas. Mrs. McDowell was met here by her mother Mrs. Hill, of El Reno, OK..
A large delegation of Masons, Elks, railroad men and friends were at the station when the train arrived, and they accompanied the body to Loudermilk's Chapel, corner of Main and Harwood streets.
Funeral service will be held at St. Matthew's Cathedral at 3:00 o'clock this afternoon. Rev. Norman S. Marshall reading the service. The burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
The active pallbearers are officials of the Missouri, Kansas and Texas Railroad, who were actively associated with Mr. McDowell in Texas. They are C. M. Bryant, J. W. Allen, W. G. Crush, Heber Page of Dallas, John Doyle Dennison and R. J. Sullivan, Greenville.
The honorary pallbearers will be representatives of the Masonic Lodges of Greenville and Smithville, to which Mr. McDowell belonged, and of the Elks and of the organizations of conductors, engineers and trainmen at various points in the state. Only seven of them had been selected last night: A. D. Bethard, George H. Green, J. W. Maxwell, J. E, Farnsworth, J. L. West, E. M. Reardon and John N. Simpson. Others will be added to the number this morning.
